Royal Parrot Farm's Mission

Our mission is to conserve endangered parrots through research, responsible captive breeding, and outreach; to provide educated placement of parrots as life-long companion pets and ambassadors for nature, and sanctuary for those in need. We strive each day to share our love and passion for our feathered friends, the fulfillment they bring to our lives, and their importance to this world.

Royal Parrot Farm, LLC based in Richmond, Texas, operates for three distinct purposes:

Our first objective is for the conservation of rare and endangered parrot species through responsible captive breeding which encourages parent rearing of babies when possible. It’s believed that parent reared offspring best preserve the reproductive instinct, thereby providing future breeding pairs with the most potential for hatching and rearing their own offspring. Surplus birds from our parent reared groups will be destined for accredited zoological parks, professional breeders, conservatories, or others specifically involved in the conservation of parrots and/or their habitats. Some hand-reared birds are also made available to reputable pet industry participants and responsible pet owners each year.

Our second objective is to selectively wholesale our more common parrot species to reputable pet stores and birds shops across the country. We strive to offer the finest, healthiest, and most loved, hand-reared Macaws and African Greys for sale anywhere in the United States. We believe companion parrots bring joy and fulfillment to the lives of their human families, and play a large role in increasing the awareness of the public to many of the difficulties their brethren now face in the wild. Wholesale inquires are always welcome from registered pet shops, bird stores, and professional hand feeders.

Our third objective is to provide a commercially viable solution to re-homing existing parrots needing new homes, and sanctuary to those who can’t. RPF operates SecondHandParrots.com as an exotic bird dealer business which buys unwanted birds; then tames, trains, rehabilitates, and re-homes these "second hand parrots" who, for one reason or another are unable to stay with their existing family or are no longer wanted, abandoned or abused. In addition, RPF built and maintains a 4000 sq ft sanctuary building and several large free-flight outdoor aviaries for birds unable or unwilling to be adopted and in need of permanent sanctuary.
